If you are hurt at work:
1. Inform Your Employer
Let your employer know that you have been injured at work. Tell them the details of your injury. Your employer must report your injury to WCB Alberta within 72 hours if you need additional medical treatment beyond regular first aid, or you cannot perform your job after the day of the incident.

3. Report Your Injury to WCB
There are multiple ways to report your claim to the Workers Compensation Board. Once WCB has received your report, a claim decision will be made as soon as possible. Usually, WCB covers most work related injuries for six weeks. You may be entitled for more coverage depending on the seriousness of your injury. Your therapist and/or case manager can discuss your treatment options with you.
4. Seek the Treatment Prescribed by Your Doctor
You may need different forms of treatment, depending on your injury. If you need Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, or one of our other Services, contact our clinic. In most cases, your treatment should begin as soon as possible.
