Acupuncture Services Edmonton

Your health is your most precious asset. At YEGHip Acupuncture in Edmonton, we are here to help you achieve your optimum health. Our acupuncture treatment plans combine traditional Chinese Medicine with modern sport and medical acupuncture techniques to get you feeling your best.

So, what is acupuncture? Acupuncture is highly effective in treating common full-body health conditions that many people struggle with. It involves identifying acupoints on your body and having professional acupuncturists insert thin needles in specific areas of the body, usually to treat pain or relieve tension. This treatment helps balance your energy, improves circulation, and improves organ functionality to speed the healing process.

If you are hearing about us for the first time, our team is here to help educate and guide your through our intake and treatment process, help establish the right treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have.

Our Happy Humans

If you need acupuncture I highly recommend Troy. He was very thorough, understanding, and made sure first and foremost I was comfortable. He also explained why he was focusing on certain areas, and answered any questions I had. Reception staff were also very helpful and welcoming. A great experience overall!
Lisa Harder
Jennifer is very knowledgeable about physiotherapy and what your body needs to improve, her friendly attitude and willingness to help will make you feel at home, I highly recommend her services if you want to improve your body mechanics and your lifestyle.
Wally Ovalle
Consulted the humans at YEGHIP regarding some ongoing neck and head pain, tension, and clicking with certain motions. Booking was easy, staff at the door were pleasant, and the physiotherapist I saw (Jen) really knew her stuff.
Timothy Weber
I highly recommend Nicolas Allen and Michelle Hollik and the entire human integrated performance office. I love their team approach to health and wellness. Having a sports psychologist, physio, chiro, and massage therapist all under one roof is exactly what a 38 year old athlete that isn't ready to give up the dream needs!

Acupuncture Treatment Options

Pain and Injury

This therapy works in stimulating the brain to release opioids and endorphins that act to calm your pain. It is highly effective in the treatment of acute pain. As a result, it is even practiced on military officers. We use it to relieve pain on muscles, joints, nerves, and migraines.

Myofascial Cupping

This is an age-old therapy that is useful for both athletes and injury rehabilitation. In this therapy, we use bamboo, plastic, or glass cups on professionally identified points on your body. This procedure helps to increase blood flow in your body, drain cellular and lymph debris, as well as soften tight muscles.

Fertility Acupuncture

Fertility acupuncture works by relieving stress that may interfere with conception and increasing blood circulation into the reproductive organs. It is also effective in balancing hormones, which is sometimes the cause of infertility.

Acupressure

In a typical hour long session, our acupressure practitioners will gently massage, press, or stretch your professionally identified acupoints with their fingers, elbows, palms, or specialized equipment. When pressure is applied to your acupoints, your body tension is eased and the body energy attains a balance.

Electro Acupuncture

This is a modified form of body-acupuncture. Two needles are used and a mild electric current passed through them to enhance their effectiveness in triggering the self-healing process in a patient’s body. This therapy is a painless and safe procedure that can cause mild side effects such as nausea and dizziness.

Auricular Acupuncture Treatment

This involves stimulating reflex points on specific outer parts of your ear. We use it to treat and relieve various conditions in other areas of the body. Auricular acupuncture is a safe and simple treatment for conditions such as anxiety, pain, obesity, and addictions.
